Piano provides an incredible foundation for musical education and is a wonderful place to begin or extend your musical journey. Piano offers young musicians an easier way into really understanding music as well as the gift of playing beautifully. Piano also benefits young musicians by helping with coordination and cognitive function. 

 

At Audacity we offer piano lessons for children from the ages of 5 all the way up to 18. We teach using classical piano techniques as this creates the strongest foundations for all playing. These techniques are taught using playful and imaginative exercises for our younger students and as our students mature so does their training, whilst keeping passion and creativity at the heart. Alongside the technical education we expose students to a wide range of genres so they receive a well-rounded musical education. Older students can choose to specialise in a style, improve their improvisation, and even try their hand at composing their own music, as they expand their knowledge and grow through their musical journey.

 

We offer abrsm piano exams as they provide the best grounding for pianists of all styles. Exams offer a goal-post and incentive for students that can be a useful tool. However, exams are not the only way for students to progress. Working towards performances and other projects can also be used to provide that goal-post. Our lessons are tailored to each individual's needs and goals, to ensure you achieve all your musical aspirations.
